Privacy policy
Orbin is operated by Oryid Labs Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”), DLF Cybercity, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. This policy explains what personal information Orbin handles, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Two groups of people use Orbin: workspace members, who publish opportunities and review submissions, and applicants, who respond to a published page. Where a company uses Orbin to collect submissions, that company decides what it collects and why; we handle the information on their behalf.
Information we collect
Workspace members
- Name and email address
- A password, stored only as a cryptographic hash — never in readable form
- Your workspace, role, and the actions you take on a submission
Applicants
- Name, email address, phone number and location
- Stated experience and current title
- The resume file you upload, and any note you add
- An account, if you choose to create one while applying
Technical
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in
- Standard server logs, including IP address and browser user agent
Orbin uses no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics and no cross-site tracking.
How we use it
- To run the service: publishing pages, receiving submissions, managing accounts
- To produce an AI-assisted assessment of a submission against the opportunity
- To keep an activity record so a workspace can see who changed what, and when
- To keep the service secure and to diagnose faults
AI evaluation of submissions
When a resume is submitted, Orbin extracts its text and sends that text, together with the opportunity’s description, to OpenAI to produce a match score and a structured assessment. The assessment and score are stored with the submission.
An assessment is decision support, not a decision. Orbin never automatically advances, rejects or ranks anyone on the strength of a score. A person in the workspace makes every decision about a submission. We do not use submissions to train any model.
Where information is stored and processed
We use a small number of providers to run Orbin. Each receives only what it needs for the job named beside it:
- Vercel — application hosting. Every request to Orbin is served from Vercel’s infrastructure, which also holds the standard server logs described above.
- Neon — managed PostgreSQL hosting for account, opportunity and submission records. The database is hosted in Singapore.
- Cloudflare R2 — object storage for uploaded resume files. The storage bucket is private; files are never publicly readable, and workspace members open them through links that expire after five minutes.
- Resend — delivers the email Orbin sends: sign-in and password links, workspace invitations, submission confirmations, task notifications, and any message a workspace chooses to send a candidate. Resend receives the recipient’s address and the contents of that email.
- OpenAI — processes resume text to produce the assessment described above.
This means information may be processed outside India. We share personal information with these providers only so far as they need it to run the service, and we do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Submissions and their assessments are kept while the workspace that received them keeps them. Deleting an opportunity deletes the submissions attached to it, and closing an account removes it. Ask us and we will delete a record sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask which workspace holds a submission you made. Write to connect@oryid.com and we will respond within 30 days. If a company collected your submission, we may need to pass your request to them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where we hold your email address, tell you.
