Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a Murex Market Risk Analyst with hands-on experience in Murex MX.3 Market Risk to join an Investment Banking engagement in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The role requires experience with market risk calculations and reporting, along with a good understanding of capital markets products and the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Work on Murex Market Risk covering VaR, sensitivities/Greeks, stress testing, and P&L analysis.
- Support MRA/MRE configuration and related Market Risk functionality within Murex MX.3.
- Perform risk calculation validation, reconciliation, and risk reporting.
- Work with capital markets products including FX, Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), and Fixed Income.
- Use SQL/PLSQL and Unix for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Support SIT/UAT, Murex implementations, upgrades, and production activities.
- Provide L2/L3 production support and assist in resolving risk calculation and reporting issues.
- Collaborate with Risk, Front Office, and IT teams.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of relevant experience with hands-on exposure to Murex Market Risk.
- Knowledge of Murex MX.3, MRA/MRE, VaR, Greeks, stress testing, and P&L analysis.
- Good understanding of FX, IRD, Fixed Income, and trade lifecycle.
- Experience with risk calculation, validation, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of SQL/PLSQL and Unix.
- Exposure to SIT/UAT, implementations, upgrades, and production support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Willingness to relocate to and work onsite in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
