About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Murex Back Office System Analyst to join an Investment Banking engagement in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The role focuses on post-trade processing within Murex, covering confirmations, settlements, payments, accounting, reconciliation, and related interfaces. The candidate should have strong Murex Back Office experience and a good understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Configure and support Murex Back Office functionality for post-trade processing.
- Work across confirmations, settlements, payments, and accounting processes.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into appropriate Murex configurations.
- Ensure accurate trade processing from confirmation through settlement and financial posting.
- Manage and troubleshoot interfaces with payment systems, SWIFT, and accounting platforms.
- Perform reconciliation, data validation, and issue analysis.
- Use SQL/PLSQL and Unix for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Participate in SIT/UAT, Murex implementations, and upgrades.
- Provide L2/L3 production support for Murex Back Office processes.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, and IT teams.
What We're Looking For
- 6–9 years of relevant experience with strong hands-on Murex / MX.3 Back Office expertise.
- Good understanding of post-trade processing and trade lifecycle.
- Experience with confirmations, settlements, payments, and accounting within Murex.
- Experience with SWIFT, payment systems, and accounting interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and trade processing.
- Working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix.
- Experience with SIT/UAT, Murex implementations, upgrades, and production support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience within Investment Banking / Capital Markets environments preferred.
- Willingness to relocate to and work onsite in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
