Job description
About the role
This role focuses on migrating databases and data warehouses to AWS. It involves building and supporting migration pipelines, schema conversion, and data validation work to help move data workloads reliably to the cloud.
The position works across database migration tasks, SQL-based validation, and AWS migration services to support end-to-end data migration efforts.
What you'll do
- Plan and execute database and data warehouse migrations to AWS.
- Build and support migration pipelines for data movement and validation.
- Work on schema conversion and related migration readiness tasks.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation during and after migration.
- Use AWS migration services, including AWS DMS, as part of migration delivery.
- Collaborate on SQL, ETL, and migration troubleshooting activities.
What we're looking for
- 5–8 years of experience in AWS data migration or related data engineering work.
- Strong experience with database migration and data warehouse migration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS DMS and SQL.
- Experience with schema conversion and data validation.
- Familiarity with ETL and migration pipeline design.
- Working knowledge of AWS-based data movement and troubleshooting.
Qualification: B.Tech / MCA
