AWS Data Engineer

About the role

This role is focused on building and supporting data engineering solutions on AWS. You will work with serverless and managed AWS services to develop data pipelines, transformation workflows, and data movement solutions.

The position centers on AWS-native data processing, orchestration, and analytics-layer development. It involves working across ingestion, transformation, and loading patterns using services such as Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, DBT, and DMS.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and related AWS services.
• Develop orchestration workflows with AWS Step Functions.
• Support data movement and replication tasks using AWS DMS.
• Create and maintain warehouse transformations and models in Redshift and DBT.
• Work with data ingestion and streaming technologies such as Kafka and Kinesis.
• Contribute to AWS data lake and governance patterns, including Lake Formation where needed.

What we're looking for

• 5 to 9 years of experience in data engineering or related work.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services, especially Glue, Lambda, RDS, Step Functions, Redshift, DBT, and DMS.
• Experience working with Kafka and/or Kinesis for data ingestion or streaming.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data pipeline development.
• Practical understanding of data integration, transformation, and migration workflows.
• Ability to work with AWS-based analytics and processing solutions.
