About the role
This role focuses on building software interfaces for Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) used in manufacturing operations. You will help connect ASRS units, factory control systems, and MES transactions so inventory updates and retrieval requests happen in real time.
The work also includes implementing control logic for related material handling equipment such as conveyors and lifters, with an emphasis on reliable equipment commands,acknowledgments, and smooth material flow.
What you'll do
- Develop software interfaces for ASRS units and related warehouse automation equipment.
- Integrate ASRS systems with factory control systems and MES for real-time inventory updates.
- Implement control logic for material handling equipment such as automated pallet conveyors and lifters.
- Handle equipment commands and acknowledgments with low-latency data exchange.
- Support integration between equipment software and MES/ERP transactions.
- Help improve throughput, reliability, and material movement efficiency between storage and production lines.
What we're looking for
- Experience integrating warehouse automation or ASRS systems into manufacturing operations.
- Understanding of conveyor systems and inventory management workflows.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET or Java for real-time equipment control.
- Experience connecting equipment software with MES/ERP transactions.
- Familiarity with PLC communication and industrial protocols such as OPC UA or Modbus.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and material flow optimization.
